Issues and trends in community-based correctional systems and alternatives to incarceration, including diversion, transitional living, halfway houses, and community treatment centers. The course emphasizes modern corrections-based efforts, including intermediate sanctions and community-based treatment, both theory and application. 54 hours lecture. (Letter grade only)
