Registered Nursing

The program focuses on preparing nurse generailists who competently utilize the nursing process and critical thinking for making sound clinical judgments in the delivery of quality, safe, patient-centered care. Clinical experiences are across the lifespan and in a variety of healthcare settings. Upon completion of the Associate Degree Nursing (RN) program, the graduate is eligible to apply for and take the National Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:

  • Provide quality, safe, patient-centered nursing care using evidencebased practices.
  • Function as a professional and competent nurse generalist while assimilating all ethical and legal principles.
  • Provide leadership in a variety of healthcare settings for diverse patient populations.
