ESL-54 — High-intermediate Writing and Grammar

Prerequisite: Qualifying placement level on a state-approved placement instrument or ESL-53.

Description: Emphasizes competency in standard written English with a focus on high-intermediate grammar and writing skills. Instruction includes an intensive review of vocabulary and reading skills necessary for success in high-intermediate English as a Second Language courses. 90 hours lecture and 18 hours laboratory. (Letter Grade, or Pass/No Pass option.)
