JOU-12 — Photojournalism

Prerequisite: PHO-9.

Description: Introduction to photojournalism and the photojournalistic style of street shooting as a means for communicating visual information in print and digital media. Emphasis on using photographs to tell a story. Discussion of the professional, legal and ethical responsibilities of the photojournalist. Students required to provide a digital camera with manual controls. 36 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory. (Materials fee: $15.00) (Same as JOU-12) (Letter grade only)
