Introduction to Oceanography LaboratoryDescription: An optional laboratory science course. Emphasis on laboratory techniques, student experimentation, and laboratory demonstrations. The laboratory experiments cover the physical, chemical, biological, and geological processes which are found in the oceans. Topics include: marine sediments-types and distribution; ocean bathymetry; salinity determination; dynamic topography and waves and tides. 54 hours laboratory. (Letter grade only)
