Our vision for the Equity-Minded Learning Institute at Riverside City College is to cultivate equity-minded innovation in teaching, leadership, and service, fostering a community where every individual embraces responsibility for student success. Grounded in race consciousness and historical context, we dismantle barriers and inspire a culture of inclusive excellence. Through intentional disruption and innovation, we aim to eliminate racial disparities and set a new standard for education. 

Mission:

The Equity-Minded Learning Institute will create institutional change through year-long professional learning experiences for cross-functional cohorts of Riverside City College employees. Equity-minded professional experts and lead facilitators will guide participants through a transformative process resulting in a community dedicated to disrupting inequitable patterns in student and institutional outcomes through intentional innovation.  Grounded in a race-conscious approach, we critically reassess our practices, challenge assumptions, and dismantle stereotypes that hinder achievement. By interrogating and reshaping policies, structures, and interactions, we strive to create an inclusive educational environment where every individual thrives.
