Annual Security Reports — Clery Reports

Each year an RCCD Cleary Report is published to provide the pubic — students, employees and their families — with information regarding campus safety, security policies, crime statistics and the resources available to them.

The Report and Congressional Act that mandates it is named in memory of 19-year-old Lehigh University freshman Jeanne Ann Clery. Jeanne was raped and murdered while asleep in her residence hall room on April 5, 1986. Jeanne’s parents, Connie and Howard, discovered that students hadn’t been told about 38 violent crimes on the Lehigh campus in the three years before her murder. The Clery’s joined with other campus crime victims and persuaded Congress to enact a law that has evolved and grown into today’s “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act.”

If you can’t take a bus (free for registered students), don’t like biking and live a little too far to walk…then you’re driving a vehicle to RCC campus. You need to know where to park, how to buy parking passes and the rules to follow.
