Prerequisite: NRN-11 or NVN-52.
Description: Reinforces and builds upon the essentials of fundamental nursing practice and facilitates further development of students' critical thinking, clinical reasoning and judgment. Focus on the use of nursing process, safe medication administration practices, documentation of care, and fosters students' recognition and understanding of the relationships that exist between clinically contextualized case situations and their role as a nursing in planning and providing quality, safe, evidence-based nursing care. 27 hours lecture.
