What You Need to Know
Universities with Honors Program Agreements
After checking the box for Honors and TAP (Transfer Alliance Program), you will need to submit an additional form to certify that you’ve completed the RCC Honors Program. This form is due in January (and is also used for UCI and UCR transfer applications). To increase your likelihood of admission, you should also select an alternate major.
Take advantage of the Honors to Honors Agreement for students who complete:
- Honors requirements with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Complete all major prep coursework
- Earn the minimum GPA requirement for their intended major
- Complete English 1A (by end of spring term)/English 1B (by end of fall term) prior to transfer
- Submit the Honors completion form (used for UCLA and UCI) in January
Honors to Honors transfers may benefit from preferred housing, programming, interaction, guidance and possible scholarships.
Upon successful completion of our program, University of California, Irvine, accepts both RCC Honors transfers and “Honors to Honors” transfers into the UCI Campuswide Honors Program. Key requirements include:
- GPA of 3.7 or higher for Campuswide Honors Program admission
- Submission of the Honors completion form (also used for UCLA and UCR) in January
