Transfer Student Success Residential Experience Program

RCCD Student Housing at UCR Opening August 2025
The Riverside Community College District (RCCD) is pleased to announce the Riverside City College (RCC) and University of California, Riverside (UCR) Student Transfer Success Residential Experience Program. This partnership provides a residential housing experience for RCC students at the UCR residential district. To be considered for the transfer student success program students must meet the eligibility criteria and complete the online application by April 28. Students selected for the Transfer Student Success Residential Experience Program are eligible to live in the residence hall year to year with a renewal process up to four years.
Applications are now being accepted for the transfer student success residential experience program. A chance for students to live in affordable student housing on the University of California, Riverside (UCR) campus starting in August 2025. This student housing is located at North District 2 on the UCR Campus which provides 320 beds exclusively for qualified students.
Move-in Day is tentatively scheduled for August 23, 2025.
Unit Type and Rent
Available units will be 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom furnished apartments. Each room within the apartment is double occupancy and furnished, meaning a total of 4 students will share each furnished apartment.

2025 - 2026 Academic Year
The contract is priced per person, per bed, and includes all utilities.
Lease Period: August 23, 2025 – June 23,2026
Monthly Payment (Per Student, Per Bed): $750
Total Payment (12 months): $9,000
*Note: Summer lease terms are available for students who wish to continue living in the hall over the summer. If a student would like to extend their stay for an additional year, a new lease agreement will need to be signed.
Roommate Matching
Once RCCD verifies the housing application and confirms eligibility, potential residents will be entered into UCR’s roommate matching system. This system allows potential residents to select a roommate, be matched with compatible roommates, and determine availability. This system allows residents to:
- Select a roommate,
- Be matched with compatible roommates, and
- Determine unit availability.
Please note that being entered into the UCR system does not guarantee a housing space, as assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
