ESL-55 — Advanced Writing and Grammar

Prerequisite: Qualifying placement level on a state-approved placement instrument or ESL-54.

Description: Emphasizes competency in standard written English with a focus on developing paragraphs and essays in preparation for English composition classes. Instruction includes continued development of vocabulary, reading and academic skills necessary for success in college classes. 90 hours lecture and 18 hours laboratory. (Letter Grade, or Pass/No Pass option)
