Riverside City College Student Health Services provides a welcome and caring place with Registered Nurses available for health education and services. We are here to support students in maintaining a healthy lifestyle that ultimately improves attendance, engagement, and success in college.
Appointments are available for in-person visits or virtually via tele-health (ZOOM). Walk-in visits may be limited and based on provider availability.

Opioid Misuse and Overdose Prevention
Combatting opioid crisis: RCC Student Health equips you to prevent and identify overdoses. Get Nasal Narcan, a life-saving medication, and learn more.

Privacy and Eligibility
Your medical records and all visit and discussions with Health Services staff are protected and confidential. Records will not be released without written consent of the student unless required by law.
You must be a registered student to be eligible for services. Family members are not eligible. Faculty and staff are not eligible to use the services except for TB Risk Assessments as required by the District as a condition of employment.
College registration fees include a State Mandatory Health Fee. This provides access to Health Services providers FREE of CHARGE. Additional fees for some exams, labs, treatments, and vaccines may occur. All fees will be discussed at time of visit and prior to any services.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Health Services Fee is a mandated requirement from the State of California. You can request to waive your fee by completing a Health Services FEE WAIVER and submitting the REQUIRED documentation to Student Health & Psychological Services (located in the Bradshaw Building below the Bookstore or via email - HealthServices@RCC.edu. Requests received without the required documents will be denied.
The college does not provide medical insurance. However, many students are eligible for low or no cost insurance. The Health Services office has referrals to help you get coverage. Please come by anytime and talk with our staff! Having access to health insurance is essential to student success and wellness.
California Marketplace has several options for affordable healthcare and dental insurance. Application and more information can be found at the Covered California Website: https://www.coveredca.com/
All accidents should be reported immediately to your instructor, coach/athletic trainer, and Health Services. As a registered student, limited insurance is provided against accidental injury occurring in class or while participating in a college sponsored event. This is a secondary insurance and a deductible applies. Medical or preexisting illness is not a covered benefit. It is the student's responsibility to file a claim. All students are encouraged to carry their own health insurance. You can learn more by visiting RCCD Risk Management webpages.
There are no mandatory immunizations needed for RCC college admission. However, some academic programs and transfer universities have their own requirements. It is the student's responsibility to obtain and understand these requirements. Our Registered Nurses are available to review and explain what is needed and assist in meeting these requirements. We will provide counsel, develop a timeline for you, and provide services or referrals as needed.
