Spanish

The Associate of Arts in Spanish for Transfer provides transfer majors with a strong foundation not only in the four basic language skills (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing), but also in the civilization and cultures of Spain and Latin America. The degree emphasizes the acquisition of communicative competence and the development of intercultural awareness, appreciation and understanding. Completion of the Spanish: Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) will prepare you to meet minimum lower division admission requirements (60 transferable units) for transfer to a California State University (CSU)or the University of California (UC). For transfer to a UC, please consult with a counselor for additional courses that may be needed. The Spanish program map bel ow includes all of your major coursework and recommended general education courses by term that is needed to fulfill your degree and transfer requirements.
