Umoja Project and Home Room Engagement Center
Welcome
Umoja means “unity,” and that is exactly what you’ll find here. Umoja at RCC is a community rooted in African and African American culture, history, and identity — a place where Black students feel seen, supported, and connected.
Our goal is simple: help you thrive. We do this by building belonging, offering personal and academic support, and creating meaningful experiences that prepare you for college, leadership, and life.

Explore Our HBCU Tour
Every year, Umoja students travel on a seven-day tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Watch the video to see how this experience inspires belonging, purpose, and connection.

Kings of Umoja

Queens of Umoja
We find our strength together. We find our strength within. Queens of Umoja is a place where issues that effect the mind, body, and spirit of women, of the diaspora, are discussed to foster communal understanding, uplifting and empowerment amongst one another. It is a shared place where candid truth and respectful privacy are honored.
